“Get ready for Seasons One and Two of the breakthrough Sci-Fi series Sliders!”
On August 3, 2004, Universal Home Video released the Dual Dimension Edition DVD box set, featuring the first two seasons of the show. In addition to the episodes, the set came with a few bonus features such as Pilot commentary with Tracy Tormé and Robert K Weiss, a featurette about the show and a photo gallery.
Sliders: Dual Dimension Edition comes on six DVDs. Each DVD is has three or four episodes on it, all presented in Dolby Digital 2.0 monaural audio. French and Spanish subtitles are also provided. The DVDs present the show as it was broadcast; namely, a standard 4:3 (1.33:1) ratio.
Here is the breakdown of what appears on each disc. Please note that episodes are presented in the order as they were originally aired, not how they were intended to air:
As you can see from the following pictures, the menu navigation borrows heavily from the first season. The animated menu system is the same for all six discs, including the music.
Below is box art sent out to retailers to hype the set’s release:
A number of people have expressed displeasure with the design of the box set. If you’re looking to get your DVDs out of that foam nonsense and into some standard DVD jewel cases, download the rental art only available here. These are high-resolution images are the ones you’ll find in the rental versions of the DVDs and are unique to each disc. Each image is huge – 1.4 megabytes apiece. Enjoy!
